The rain held off and the temperature remained above 60 degrees for Big Woods Bible Church’s outdoor baptisms. Big Woods Bible Church (part of the Baptist Resource Network of PA/SJ) is located in central Pennsylvania near the town of Lock Haven. The church ministers to students at Lock Haven University through their Athletes Bible Study, which is part of the Baptist Collegiate Network. They held a special baptism service at the Lock Haven Beach on the Susquehanna River. At the river, they baptized 19 people; 18 of those being students connected with the church’s college ministry! It was a special moment for Robbie Mays, their Associate Pastor of Campus Ministry, to baptize so many students that had come to faith and been discipled through the church and the college ministry.
